Furzebrook Road, Wareham - Installation of Oak Flooring
Occasionally, we come across a little more than the average run of the mill job, where we would normally take away the existing floor covering and replace it with something else.
On this Occasion we had to go beyond that and replace an existing raggedy wooden sub floor with New T & G treated chipboard flooring, while installing Celotex PIR Insulation Board in between the joists for thermal insulation and some sound proofing from low level noise rumbles from HGV going down the road.
Following that 4 other processes:
- Fitting a sponge underlay with moisture barrier
- Installing T & G unfinished Oak Boards using the secret nailing method
- Machine sand down to fine finish
- Apply 3 coats of flooring sealer.
